Why Do I Need to Decarb?
If you skip decarbing, your edibles will be weak. Proper decarboxylation ensures your herb is fully activated, giving you stronger effects without using extra material. Think of it as turning good herb into alpha-level herb.
What is the Best Temperature for Decarbing?
Proper decarb is slow and low. Experts recommend 240°F—the sweet spot that converts T_CA into T_C while preserving terpenes and other beneficial c_binoids. Going higher to “speed it up” burns terpenes and lowers potency. Precision is power.
Can I Speed Up Decarbing?
Short answer: no. Cranking the temperature or cutting corners reduces potency and destroys aroma. T_C is a science—follow the temperature and timing, and the results are worth it.
Do I Have to Decarb Before Infusing?
Absolutely. Decarbing and infusing are two separate steps. Alpha420’s mantra: Heat to Eat. Skip decarbing first, and your infusion is only 10–25% activated. Don’t waste quality herb on weak edibles—activate it first, then infuse.
