Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) infused butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional for extra fudginess)

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and butter an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the infused butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and whisk in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until just combined—don’t overmix. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  4. Optional chocolate boost – Toss in chocolate chips or chunks for pockets of molten chocolate in every bite.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges set, keeping the center decadently soft.
